Bonningtons Launches 6 New Brands to Challenge the Market Leaders
One of the UK’s fasting growing SME’s expands product range as part of ambitious growth plan
Bonningtons, the Nottingham based supplier of gardening and household goods, has launched six new premium product ranges to appeal to a wider customer base and expand its market share on the high street and in garden centres.
Managing Director and owner, Ian Fisher has built a successful business based on great products and a strong commitment to customer service. Ian believes it is time to take the business to the next level and in his words “Bonningtons has come of age! With 1000 new products launched in 2016 alone, and 6 new premium brands, the company will change the misconception that it is a small business selling only to discounters.
Ian says “Earlier this year we were named as one of the UK’s 100 fastest growing SMEs, with turnover increasing by 60% in the past 3 years. We have done this by successfully identifying Simply Great Selling Products. The next stage in our development is to provide more quality brands and develop new customer channels – focussing additionally on garden centres”
The biggest of the new ranges is Dusk Till Dawn, a collection of beautiful indoor and outdoor decorative lighting – solar, mains and battery operated. Many of the items are suitable for use indoors and out, making this a year round desirable gift and homeware range. Strong branding combined with high quality packaging create a brand that has high impact in store.
Vintage 4 Seasons consists of shabby chic wrought iron garden furniture, clocks and garden décor. The clocks are indicative of Bonningtons’ quirky style, with designs ranging from vintage aeroplanes, motorbikes and cars right through to traditional station clocks with thermometers and outdoor planters.
Craftsman includes British designed animal and transport themed metal garden ornaments and planters with handmade elements. Also in the range are heavy duty cast iron hanging baskets, planters and troughs.
Limitless is a heating and cooling brand, made up of contemporary design and fully compliant, quality assured products.
Pacific is a range of drinks containers, glassware and homewares, split into three sub-categories. Aqua Pacific consists of fun and vibrant water bottles and drinks containers which maintain hydration whilst on the go. Also included are glass drinks dispensers perfect for entertaining, and assorted lunch boxes and ice cube trays. Pacific Sport is aimed at those who enjoy fitness, with two types of protein shakers and assorted sports bottles. Pacific Aroma is a collection of hot drinks containers, including travel mugs and ceramic and plastic coffee cups. Practical, eye-catching Point of Sales units provide a great opportunity to hot spot some of these unique products and exploit the impulse sale.
Paw Prints – family pet care with the emphasis on cats and dogs, with modern, brightly coloured accessories, toys and luxurious pet beds.
Ian says “The new brands were very well received when we launched them at Glee, and we will offer them in addition to the company’s established Kingfisher value range of home and garden products, to offer the customer a strong good – better – best hierarchy.”
